Srinagar: Expressing serious concern over the growing trend of liquor consumption in valley, Kashmirs grand Mufti Mohammad Bashir-Ud-Din Ahmad Farooqi called for the unity among the religious organisations for the eradication of the evil.
In a statement issued today, Mufti urged that the State Govt. should take all necessary steps so that the use of drinking alcohol and other intoxicants spreading in the state expeditiously is eradicated.
All the Hon’ble members of the State Legislative assembly/council, leaving aside their respective political affiliations should not allow to move any bill if tabled on the floor of the house which will give a sort of boost for the sale / use of drinking alcohol and other social evils prevailing in the State.
