Anantnag: Thousands of youth, including girls turned up for J&K police recruitment rally held at Anantnag on Wednesday.
Talking to Kashmir Observer, Recruitment Incharge IG Surindar Kumar said that at least eight thousand youth from Anantnag district including girls have applied for the post of police constables. Today we have started conducting tests for the said posts adding that the recruitment will continue for few more days to fill the vacancy of 417 constable posts in Anantnag district.
He said that the recruitment process is fully transparent and there is no possibility of any human intervention. He requested aspiring candidates not to seek help from any broker agent or agency for the sake of job favour.
Its worth mentioning that J&K police is using new method of Transparent Recruitment Process which electronically records the timing of the candidates as they pass through wearing a special jacket fitted with electronic chip as the female applicants are required to cover a distance of 1 kilometer race in 7 minutes while boys 1 mile in 7 minutes. The candidates are given a unique identity card to avoid miscalculations in the recruitment process .
