HC quashes PSA, Maisuma youth released

Srinagar: After the court quashed the detention of the Maisuma youth, the authorities on Wednesday evening released Faisal Aslam Mir who was arrested in Jan 2016 over the allegations of attacking SDPO Kothi Bagh in the year 2015.

According to Advocate Aamir Masoodi who as pleading his case said that the court bailed out Faisal in all the 19 cases lodged against him on the allegations of attacking SDPO Kothi Bagh on 2015 and organizing the stone-pelting in Srinagar. 

Adv Aamir said the 19th cases against him was quashed by the second additional district and sessions judge Srinagar, Justice Sham Lalhal on Apr 26 and directed the police to release him.

Following the quashing of his case, Faisal who was arrested on Jan 01, 2016 was released from PS Maisuma on late Wednesday evening, he said. (KNS)
