ANANTNAG, NOVEMBER 18: District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Mr Muneer Ul Islam, Wednesday chaired a meeting with regard to issues pertaining to land acquisition and relocation of new toll plaza alongside National Highway.
DDC also reviewed progress regarding identification and acquisition of land for development of new toll plaza and shops that shall be shifted after the new National Highway becomes operational.
He directed concerned authorities to remove bottle necks in the process of acquisition of land and shifting of toll plaza from its present location and to ensure that it is relocated before the new National Highway is thrown open.
DC also directed ADC Anantnag to ensure adequate compensation to owners of fruit trees that were cut for construction of approach path to the new tunnel, at the earliest.
He exhorted upon engineers of NAVYUG Company to work in close coordination with various departments of the district so that the highway is completed without any delay.
