Baby Burnt Alive in Ganderbal Inferno

SRINAGAR: A one year old baby was burnt alive in a devastating fire incident at Khurhama village in Ganderbal district, a police said on Friday.

Rabia Mushtaq daughter of Mushtaq Ahmed Bhat was charred to death when the fire broke out in her house. Despite hectic efforts by locals, the baby couldn’t be rescued. The house was completely razed to ground and after five hours, the baby’s body was recovered from the debris. Some locals also suffered minor burn injuries in the incident.

Electric short circuit was said to be cause of fire.
