Issued appointment order under SRO-43
PULWAMA: Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Mr. Ali Mohammad Sagar, Minister for Social Welfare, Miss Sakina Itoo, Minister of State for Home, Mr. Sajad Ahmad Kitchloo, Minister of State for PHE & Irrigation Mr. Nazir Ahmad Gurazi along with District Development Commissioner, Pulwama, Mr. Shafat Noor and MLA Amira Kadal, Mr. Nasir Aslam Wani visited the residence of deceased Sarpanch Ghulam Mohammad Lone of Kulapora, Lassipora, who was killed by unidentified gunman yesterday evening.
The Ministers conveyed their heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
They handed over a cheque of rupees one lakh as ex-gratia relief to the next of kins of the deceased. The Ministers directed the District Development Commissioner Pulwama to issue appointment order in favour of the legal heir of the deceased under SRO-43 at an earliest.
Sagar directed the concerned Assistant Commissioner Development Pulwama to ensure financial assistance in favour of the deceased family under IAY Scheme.
The Minister for Social Welfare Miss Sakina Itoo has also directed for the release of financial assistance under Rehabilitation Council scheme in favour of the deceased wife of late Sarpanch.
The Minister of State for Home, Mr. Sajad Ahamd Kitchloo also directed the DIG South Kashmir, Police to appoint the one of legal heirs of the deceased in the department.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sagar condemned the act and said such inhuman acts cannot derail the efforts of government for bringing the normalcy and peace in the State and said that the people of the state wisely thwarted the game plan of these elements who wanted to disturb the peace and tranquillity in the State. He said that the present government is well-wisher of the people. He said govt. is taking all efforts to bring normalcy in the State.
Sagar said that such people who are adamant to disturb the peace in the State shall not succeed in their nefarious designs by targeting selective peoples of the State.
