The Job aspirants for the post of Forest Guard (Adv. Notice no. 01 of 2011 dated 31-01-2011) have been taken for a ride by the JKSSB as it has created a mess with the recruitment by giving priority to the blue-eyed candidates. The SSB has played with the careers of the candidates having special prescribed qualification by changing the original recruitment criteria after almost three years just before the written examinations by cutting down the 10 points for the extra special prescribed qualification as it was (70 points for written), (5 points for 10+2 with science), (5 points for B.Sc.
(Forestry/Evs. Science/Forest Engineering) and 20 for Viva-Voce and even according to the Rule14(1) dated 22-7-2013 of SRO 342 of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services Decentralization and Recruitment Act,2010 it is clearly mentioned that the final selection shall be made by the board on the basis of marks secured in Written Test to the marks obtained in Viva-voce Plus weightage of higher/ additional/ special qualification advertised by the Board. So, why they have decided to cancel the 10 points for addt. Prescribed Qualification after almost three years? It clearly shows that SSB has given preference to the blue-eyed candidates who dont have the Addt. Prescribed Qualification apart from matric. We seek immediate action into it from the JKSSB and also want the state government to please intervene into this matter as soon as possible.
