Kulgam: The District Rent Assessment Committee, which met here today with Deputy Commissioner Mir Jahangir in chair, approved 22 cases of the total 27 taken up.
Of these, six cases pertained to fixation of rent for land while 16 to building assessment.
As many as 5 cases were deferred for want of relevant details. Besides the land and building owners, the meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Chief Planning Officer, Executive Engineer (R&B) and the concerned heads of district officers.
Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner asked the officers to pay rent to the concerned land owners on time and ensure safety of the Government/rented property.
He called for giving homely treatment to the rented property so that the building owners dont suffer any kind of inconvenience.
