Srinagar – As many as 270 Hajj pilgrims including 148 male and 122 female pilgrims besides one infant were seen off at Srinagar International Airport by Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon this morning.
Member of the State Hajj Committee, Moulana Akhzar Hussain was also present on the occasion.
While interacting with Hajj pilgrims, Dr. Samoon enquired about the facilities being provided to them by the concerned agencies at the Hajj House, Bemina and Srinagar Airport.
The Hajj pilgrims appreciated the efforts being made for their convenience besides operating direct flights from Srinagar to Medina Sharief by Indian Airlines.
Pertinent to mention that 810 Hajj pilgrims including 477 male and 333 female besides one infant till date have left for Medina Sharief from Srinagar Airport for performing Hajj.
