Srinagar: The Cabinet which met here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah accorded sanction to the transfer of State land measuring 500 kanals situated in village Jadh, Tehsil and District Reasi in favour of the University of Jammu for the establishment of a University Campus.
The Cabinet also extended the period of submission of the report by the Cabinet Sub-Committee examining the creation of new administrative units by one month beyond 24th August, 2013.
It also constituted a Committee headed by the Chief Secretary to look into the various issues involved in the proposed lifting of moratorium on the opening of new B.Ed Colleges, which will comprise Secretary to the Government, Higher Education Department, Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department, Vice Chancellor, University of Kashmir and Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu.
The Committee would finalize its recommendations within one month.
