SRINAGAR: Chairman Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Geelani has expressed his deep concern over the continuous curfew in Shopian and said the people in besieged areas were facing enormous hardships and were at the verge of starvation.
While declaring the program for September 18 Syed Ali Geelani said that youth, party leaders and activists will assemble on September 18, Wednesday, at Hurriyat head office, Hyderpora, wherefrom he would lead a protest march to Sonwar office of the UN.
Geelani said that we will impress UN General Secretary Ban ki Moon to take cognizance of civilian causalities in the state and the resolution of Kashmir issue.
Terming the silence maintained by Omer Abdullah a criminal act Geelani,said that it has been proved that they least care about the common people and their sufferings, adding NC leaders just enjoy power and have only consideration and that is the upcoming elections of 2014.
