SRINAGAR: Threat of stray wild animals continues to create scare in Kashmiri villages. A 10-year-old boy was mauled to death by a leopard in village Karihama in North Kashmirs Handwara area on Monday.
According to official sources, a leopard attacked a 10-year-old Basit Bashir son of Bashir Ahmad Lone resident of Hayan Trehgam when he, along with other children, was playing near his house in Wani Mohalla.
He suffered severe injuries in the attack and was shifted to the hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, the official said.
