Says Govt committed to dignified life of destitute
BANDIPORA – Minister for Higher Education, Mohammad Akbar Lone today reiterated that Government is committed to the upliftment and dignified life of destitute and poor populace of the State. He said by the implementation of various developmental and welfare schemes launched by the Government day to day problems pertaining to the life of the people are being redressed.
Addressing a gathering of the people after inaugurating a Health Sub Center constructed at the cost of Rs. 22.37 lacs at Makhdoomyari, Hajin block of Sumbal constituency.
Lone said that providing basic amenities including better healthcare facilities are among the priorities of the Government. He said by establishing this health sub center which was long pending demand of the people of the area will benefit about 6000 peoples of the Mokahdoomyari and its vicinities.
The Minister said that Government has already fulfilled the demands of the people by providing basic amenities including adequate supply of drinking water, irrigation, electricity, better road connectivity, basic education and better health care facilities in the area and more efforts are being done in this regard.
On the occasion, various deputations put forth various issues and problems before the Minister. The Minister gave patient hearing to all the deputationists and assured for early redressal of their genuine demands. He also directed filling and boundary fencing of the sub center compound.
Chief Medical Officer, Bandipora, Dr Malik Bashir, officers of Health Department, J&K Housing Board, large gathering of people were present on the occasion.
