I have been looking at the various permutations and combinations with regards to the ways of overcoming the pain and miseries of the people of Kashmir. I have been grappling with the basic question that is whether we as Kashmiris are as much responsible for the mess that is around us as our tormentor and the answer I get is a big yes.
For us to come out of this mess, the solution to the Kashmir dispute is a prerequisite. We all know this but till that is achieved what are the other things that are as important as Kashmir resolution.
I want my people to understand the motive of every organisation or person whom we have been laying our trust in. We need to analyse as a society where we are heading and where we need to be and how to get there. The great nations are built by great leaders and responsible people. Unfortunately we as Kashmiris lack both the leadership and the responsibilities as the citizens.
The time has come that we do some self introspection and understand the need of the hour and rise to never fall again.
As far as my personal experience goes what I have seen is that the amount of talent and above all the goodness of being human that we Kashmiris have can overcome any obstacle with ease and peace.
The potential that Allah has bestowed upon we Kashmiri’s is immense and we need to be grateful and make sure we try to utilize as much as we can in a right direction.
We as Kashmiris and mostly Muslims need to follow the righteous path to get the society back on track. We must stop waiting for someone else to come and get things done for us as nobody is going to come and solve our problems.
The world is growing at a speed which is way faster than the imagination of most of us.
What I have understood or learnt by spending almost 70% of my life away from my home is that a large scale transformation is required to get the raw talent groomed and nurtured to make the diamonds shine like the few amongst us have already done.
We have let our lives be ruined by giving undue importance to trivial matters. The biggest preoccupation these days for us is social media. Its destroying the future of our youth as its distracting them from the real goals of life which we could pursue by following our cultural icons. It may be a useful tool elsewhere but in Kashmir it has only led to chaos and confusion. The social media was never meant to harm us in anyway but the way we have been addicted to it is actually harming us and widening the rift in our society.
We have no clear plans of how to utilize our resources and how to better things for which they are meant to be.
The parents need to get involved because let me warn that things are slowly getting out of control and we are the ones who are doing nothing and just looking at the things as if everything is under control.
If you cant change the future of the nation or society to good at least try to make sure you do for your family or may be at least for yourself.
I am working in an MNC and from almost 4 years and I have understood or tried to understand the misery of the people of Kashmir and that has got me to write an article today to let people of my pious land understand the current scenarios and move forward in their lives.
The responsibility lies with all of us be it any family member, your guardian, teacher ,leader ,or any other volunteer. We all need to stand up because if not now it would be never.
