SRINAGAR Family members and relatives of slain Barzulla militant again took to roads in Srinagar on Monday demanding the mortal remains of their ward.
According to family members, Mudasir Ahmad Bhat was killed in Kupwara gunfight on June 30. On that day, army had claimed to have killed an unidentified militant in a gunfight at Tunga top forests of Kachama Handwara.
Scores of relatives of Mudasir gathered at the Barzulla bridge and raised slogans to demand his mortal remains. Traffic movement came to a halt for over 20 minutes due to the protest.
The state police chief SP Vaid has said that the body will be handed over to the next of kin after they receive DNA report.
