SRINAGAR: Pattan Police arrested the notorious Charas smuggler Farooq Ahmad Ganie of Sangrampora Sopore with 5 kg Charas on Tuesday. He was caught while carrying the material in his Maruti car JK01C 6863.
Guilty was arrested at Mirgund by the police party headed by Ajay Sharma. He had earlier been arrested many a times.
The accused was travelling from Pulwama to Sopore.
Around 40 FIRs have been filed against the accused so far.
Burglar Arrested in Baramulla
Baramulla police recovered stolen electronic items including mobile phones from a burglar in Pattan.
On January 17 burglars decamped with mobile phones and electronic items from a shop M/S Umar Electronic Products in Pattan. A case FIR No. 10/2013 under section 457,380 RPC was registered in Police Station, Pattan.
With the help of FSL team of Baramulla police, investigation of the case led to a suspect Naseer Ahmad Bhat @ Nus son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat resident of Kastori Kocha Gojree Mohalla Pattan. The suspect was called to the police station on 28.01.2012. During his questioning it was revealed that he had committed the burglary and on his instances, police recovered, Mobile Phones Samsung Dual Sim-04 Nos, Nokia C5-01 No, Nokia E5-01 No, Wing M35-M64-M60-03 Nos, LTC 02 Nos, Digital Sound -02 Nos, G&L-01 No, Yestel-01 No, Samsung Galaxy-01 No, MVL-01 No, X-Age-01 No, MU phone-01 No,CNG-01No, Richtel-01No, Vellcom-02Nos, rechargeable Lights-03Nos, small search Lights-02Nos, Card Reader-17Nos, Blower-01 No,Iron-1No.
