SrinagarPanic gripped general bus stand at Pantha chowk on Srinagar outskirts due to mysterious blast today, when large number of people were present in the area.
Official sources said that a loud blast took place after a sweeper set on fire huge heaps of garbage at Pantha Chowk near bus stand.
Large number of people ran for safety after the blast, sound of which was heard in the entire area.
However, traffic on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway was not affected due to blast.
Senior police and security forces officials immediately rushed to the area to ascertain the cause of blast.
