JammuA deputation of members of Anjuman i Ulema e Ahle Sunnat, Jammu called on the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti here today.
The deputation demanded constitution of madrassa board in the State, enhancement in the honorarium of Imams and rationalisation of course curriculum of Islamic Studies at the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri.
Another deputation of J&K Gurduwara Prabandhak Board led by T. S. Wazir also met the Chief Minister and thanked her for her decision to introduce Punjabi in schools. They demanded posting of Punjabi teachers and streamlining of payment of relief to the border shelling victims.
A deputation of members of Kissan Union also met Mehbooba Mufti and demanded rationalisation of compensation rates for their land being acquired for road construction in Bishnah, R S Pura and Marh areas.
The Chief Minister listened to the demands of the deputationists and assured them to look into them.
