SrinagarHurriyat Conference (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Thursday welcomed the Amnesty International report calling for immediate ban on shotguns in Kashmir.
In a tweet, Mirwaiz said that Kashmir welcomed the amnesty report released yesterday in Srinagar.
“Kashmir welcomes amnesty report calling for immediate ban on pellet guns, trial of forces (personnel) in civilian courts and rehabilitation and compensation for victims,” tweeted Mirwaiz.
Pertinently, Amnesty International India while asking India to immediately ban the use of pellet guns has said that deliberate denial of justice happens only in Jammu and Kashmir.
