SRINAGAR: Chief Secretary, B R Sharma Wednesday chaired a meeting with Administrative Secretaries here, to review the attendance of government employees.
While expressing satisfaction over the attendance of employees in government offices, it was noted with concern that some employees are not attending to their duties regularly, thereby putting the general public to inconvenience in availing various services. It was also noted that absence of such employees particularly in the educational institutions has been adversely affecting studies of the children.
Chief Secretary directed the Administrative Secretaries to ensure that all employees working in the departments under their administrative control including the subordinate offices attend to their duties regularly. He further instructed that employees, who remain un-authorizedly absent, should be asked to immediately report to their duties, failing which action as warranted under rules should be initiated against them.
