SRINAGAR: Social Welfare Baramulla thrashed Star Boys FC Sopore 4-0 in the 5th Rashid Memorial 7-A Side State Football Championship fixture on Tuesday played at Khushall Sports Stadium Sopore.
According to a statement from the organisers, Social Welfare Baramulla managed ball possession heavily from the word go and dominated the proceedings all of 90 minutes. Their dominance was shown in the final scoreline as goals came thick and fast for the winning side.
In the second match of the day Friends Club Sopore got walk-over as the rival team Eidgah Football Club Sopore failed to report in the field at the scheduled time.
The tournament is being organized by J&K 7-A Side Soccer Association.
