Srinagar: Life returned to normal in south Kashmirs Pulwama district on Tuesday after four days of spontaneous strike against the killing of a local Lashkar-e-Toiba militant Omais Ahmad, who was killed in a brief gunfight near Saderkote Balla area of Ajas in north Kashmirs Bandipora district, last week.
All the shops and business establishments reportedly reopened as per routine in all the markets of the district while the traffic plied normally. The shopkeepers were seen busy in cleaning their shops and people were busy in buying the essentials.The situation across the district remained peaceful while there was no deployment of government forces.
Meanwhile, the commercial establishments also reopened in Lal Chowk area of city here after yesterdays shutdown against the arrest of JKLF chairman Yasin Malik and other leaders of the pro-independence group.
