Sopore:Police on Tuesday morning claimed to have recovered large amount of illicit kerosene oil in Rafiabad of north-Kashmirs Baramulla district.
Police sources said that following a specific information about black marketing, separate police teams led by SDPO Rafiabad Shabir Khan and SHO Panzulla Tariq Ahmad swung into action and recovered around three hundred liters of Kerosene oil from one Zahoor Ahmad Lone in Khushipora area of the district.
As the winter has just set in people face acute problems of scarcity of essential commodities including kerosene oil, SDPO Rafiabad said.
Warning the people involved in such acts the official said that todays raid should serve as a lesson to the people involved in black-marketing and activities related to it.
We are going to get tough against the hoarders, the official said.
