NC Committed To Safe Guard Future Of Students
Srinagar – Accusing militancy for making mess of educational sector in the Jammu and Kashmir, the Spokesman of the ruling National Conference Wednesday said it became a direct target of militancy and the recurrent unrests suffered the quality education.
The education sector in our state suffered due to militancy and unrests. In such a situation, priority to ensure that the quality of education doesnt suffer remained absent, interacting with students headed by NCSU executive members at the party headquarters, NC Spokesman, Tanvir Sadiq, said.
However he claimed that the government has ensured since then that the quality of education is brought back on the tracks and NC was committed to safeguard the future of the students.
He said that education and unemployment among the youth is a major challenge before the party and chief minister Omar Abdullah is trying to address the aspirations of youth and channelize their energy in right direction.
Omar Abdullah is a youth icon and wants the youth, especially the students to come forward and shape their own destiny said Sadiq while emphasizing that student politics is the need of the hour and they should take a lead role in not only the universities but also commit themselves towards the betterment of the student community.
While listing to the problems of the students highlighted by the NCSU president and members Tanvir assured that the problems will be taken up with the higher authorities.
The issuance of Passports to students who intend to travel outside the country will be taken up with the government on priority said Tanvir adding The problems faced by the students of Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) with regard to providing uninterrupted power and water supply will also be taken up with the CMs secretariat and University authorities so that they do not face any hardships, he said.
