GANDERBAL: A 10-day Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) commenced at the Govt. Polytechnic College Ganderbal here today.
The programme which is aimed at to identify budding entrepreneurs and to develop their skills and capabilities has been organized by Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) J&K in collaboration with Govt. Polytechnic College Ganderbal.
Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, who presided over the inaugural session said that these programmes are very essential to groom budding technocrats so that they could start their own enterprises.
Director MSME-DI, J&K said that Central government has taken various initiatives for promoting entrepreneurship in the state. He also provided detailed information about the schemes for the budding entrepreneurs and advised students to take maximum benefit from them.
GM, DIC Ganderbal provided a broad outline of issues and challenges faced by the budding entrepreneurs in the state and the role of DIC in catering to their needs.
He assured that the DIC would provide all possible support to the entrepreneurs to set up successful business units in the state.
Representative from Lead Bank spoke about the role of banks in facilitating the process of setting up of an enterprise
