Srinagar – The Jammu and Kashmir Sunday conducted the elections for the Srinagar district committee at its party headquarter, Maqbool Manzil, Maisuma Srinagar.
The election meeting was presided over by the chairman election commission and besides other leaders hundreds of and members of party election commission participated in the meeting .
Mohammad Aslam Sheikh was declared unopposed elected as president Srinagar while as Showkat Ahmad Dar was elected as vice president .other office bearers who were elected included Mohammad Shameem (General Secretary Distt. Srinagar), Ghulam Rasool Hazari( organizer), Ghulam Mohammad Dar ( treasurer), Mohammad Maqbool Taploo (joint secretary).and Mushtaq Ahmad Dar ( publicity secretary).also seven other members for the working committee were also elected.
JKLF Condemns KU Students Arrest, Urges AI to Intervene
Srinagar – The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front has condemned the arrest of Kashmir University Manzar Ahmad Dar student, calling it as a revengeful act by the state actors, party spokesperson Sunday said.
It said that the party takes strong note of such atrocities where even students arent spared. The party his arrest as a revengeful act of state terrorism and appealed to the human rights organizations like amnesty international to save the future of a poor innocent student.
