SRINAGAR: Member Legislative Assembly Mrs Anjum Fazli today visited Government Boys Higher Secondary School Jawahar Nagar and took stock of the facilities available in the institute.
She went round the school premises and classrooms and announced to adopt this institution under the Smart Classes scheme. She asked the Principal to frame a proposal for acquiring computers and projector etc so that information technology facilities are introduced in the institute at a large scale. She announced providing financial support, out of Constituency Development Funds (CDF), for setting up of computer lab in the institute.
On the occasion, Anjum said that in future this school will be converted in to a model school and all facilities including library, furniture and other basic requirements will be provided to this school.
On the demand of construction of Auditorium in the school, the MLA assured them that she will take up this issue with the government. She appreciated the school authorities for making the institute fully functional after the last years floods without getting any special financial help from the Government.
