SRINAGAR: Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare Ms. Asiea Naqash today visited Hassaabad in old city to review the arrangements put in place by the administration in connection with Muharram.
Muharram, first month of Islamic calendar began from today.
The Minister had a joint meeting of senior officers of administration and representatives of different localities of the area including Hassanabad, Mir-Bheri, Nundpora etc.
Ms. Asiya received a detailed brief regarding Muharram arrangements from the officers regarding power and water supply, sanitation, repairs of roads and lanes and supply of ration and fire wood etc.
Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Peerzada Mushtaq Ahmed briefed the Minister about the arrangements and informed that one months advance ration is being supplied to the consumers in the Shia dominated areas.
