Baramulla: Crime Branch and Vigilance Organization after admitting the complaints of alleged corruption against Superintendent ITI /IMC Secretary Pattan have sought a detailed report about the accused officer from the Director Technical Education Kashmir.
The complainant, Mushtaq Ahmed Najar, from Pattan town of North Kashmirs Baramulla district in his complaints to the CB and VoK has alleged that Superintendent ITI Pattan has not only swindled a large chunk of public money but has also indulged in nepotism and bribery from past couple of years in the institution.
The complainant has also alleged that the said officer misled him by providing wrong information under Right to Information Act.
The complainant has alleged the money meant for the upgradation and purchasing of goods for the Institute has fraudulently been swindled by the Superintendent ITI.
Besides, the said officer according to complainant has also appointed some of his relatives in the institute.
The Crime Branch and the Vigilance Organization Kashmir have admitted the complaints and have sought detailed report about the functioning of the Institute in the town.
It is a serious matter and they have also started investigation at departmental level, Director Technical Education Kashmir, Shabnam Kamli, said. We have been collecting all the data and other documents and will soon submit them before Crime Branch and Vigilance Organization, she said adding that the if proved guilty, the officer will face the music.
When contacted Superintendent ITI/IMC Showkat Anwar Rather said that the complaints registered by a complainant against him in Crime Branch and VoK are weak as all these allegations are baseless and malicious.
