SRINAGAR: Hundreds of dailywagers who are on hunger strike from the past four days have threatened to surround the Assembly on October 7, if the government failed to address their regularization issue till Tuesday evening.
J&K Casual and Daily Wagers Forum are observing indefinite hunger strike from October 2, onwards. They are demanding framing of policy for regularization of their services.
The Forum president Sajad Ahmed Parrey said that till date not a single person from the government visited them. Few workers including a woman fainted on Monday and we shifted them to SMHS hospital for treatment. We have decided to enter into Assembly complex where we will stage massive protest on Wednesday, he said.
