SRINAGAR: Expressing serious concern over the deteriorating health of National Youth Corps (NYC) volunteers who are on hunger strike demanding implementation of cabinet order,
Expressing solidarity with the protesting NYC volunteers, Tarigami demanded that the cabinet decision by virtue of which sanction was accorded to engagement of 6000 NYC youth, engaged in 2010 under National Youth Corps, vide order no. 737-EDU- of 2014 dated October 22, 2014 be implemented in letter and spirit.
Cleanliness drive held at KUs South Campus
SRINAGAR: A daylong cleanliness drive was held at Kashmir Universitys South Campus in Anantnag on Thursday.
Director South Campus, Prof Bashir Ahmad Nehvi, along with his staff and students participated in the drive.
The participants demonstrated enthusiasm during the cleanliness drive in the campus and vowed to participate in such programmes in future, Prof Nehvi said.
He also announced that a similar drive would be held at Anantnag town soon.
