Mumbai: Bajrangi Bhaijaan may have become the fastest Hindi film to make it to the coveted Rs 100-crore club, but the feat has been overshadowed by Baahubali. Pitted against the SS Rajamouli epic, the Kabir Khan directorial has managed to rake in only about 2/3rd the amount that Baahubali had done in its opening weekend.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan opened to a business of Rs 27.25 crore at the Indian box office on July 17, followed by Rs 36.60 crore on its first Saturday, and Rs 38.75 crore on Sunday (July 19). While the film’s collections in itself are huge, they are nowhere near the amount Baahubali had earned in its first three days.
