Poonch: An army soldier was injured in an accidental gunfire while he was cleaning his rifle in Mankote area of Poonch district.
Official sources said that the soldier identified as Sepoy Gurpreet Singh of Rajouri-based 62 Field Regiment posted at Khera 01 Post near Line of Control (LoC) this morning at 9:15 was cleaning his Insas rifle when it went off accidentally resulting in critical injuries to his fingers.
The soldier was immediately rushed to General Hospital Rajouri where he is being treated.
