Srinagar: Reiterating its demand for return of mortal remains of Muhammad Afzal Guru, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Tuesday said that alliance is only for development of Jammu and Kashmir State while PDP would strive for its ideology.
The first time elected legislator from Wachi constituency Advocate Aijaz Ahmad Mir said that PDP would not compromise on its ideology.
The stand of our party on return of mortal remains of Guru and self rule is very much clear, he said.
Speaking about their joint statement wherein PDP legislators had demanded return of mortal remains, he said: Our stand on this issue would not widen cracks with our alliance partner BJP. PDP had also demanded the return of mortal remains when it was in opposition and is demanding when it has come into the power.
Yes, it is true that around eight PDP legislators have issued the statement demanding return of mortal remains. I can tell you that in fact it is the demand entire camp of PDP and not only these eight MLAs, he claimed.
He added that party would not compromise with its ideology and demands it had raised while it was delivering its responsibilities in state assembly as an opposition party.
