JAMMU: The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi was seen off at Jammu airport by the Governor, N. N. Vohra, Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Syed and his cabinet colleagues, Chief Secretary, DG Police besides senior officers from army and Air Force, in this afternoon.
Prime Minister had arrived here in forenoon to attend swearing in ceremony of Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Syed, who was given Oath of office by the Governor at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, in Jammu University today.
Earlier on arrival in the forenoon, the Prime Minister was received by the Governor, N. N. Vohra, Chairman, J&K Legislative Council, Amrit Malhotra, Union Minister of State, Jitender Singh Rana, MPs, Mehbooba Mufti, Muzaffer Hussain Baig, Tariq Hameed Kara, Shamshaer Singh Manhas, Fayaz Ahmad, Nazir Ahmad Laway. Legislator Tsering Dourjay, Chief Secretary, Mohammad Iqbal Khanday, Lt. General, D. S. Hooda, DGP, K. Rajendra and former MLA and senior BJP leader, Ashok Khajuria.
