Poonch: The forces Saturday launched a major search operation in parts of Mendhar Tehsil near Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district following the inputs about the presence of suspected persons, officials told GNS.
Officials told GNS that following inputs about the presence of suspected persons, the armys 37 and 39 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and polices Special Operation Group (SOG) launched searches in Kalaban, Kasbalwari and Bhatakas villages.
The forces conducted thorough checking in these areas, they said, adding, so far nothing was found.
The Sub Divsional Police Officer (SDPO) Mendhar, Ramesh Kumar, told GNS that the searches were launched after specific information in these areas. (GNS)
