ANANTNAG: The Anantnag Regional Transport Office (RTO) would distribute over 3,000 copies of a booklet on new traffic rules among people as part of its road safety campaign. Regional Transport Officer, Peerzada Shabir Ahmad said following sucess of the campaign last year, they decided to increase the circultion of the informative booklet this year.
The campaign was aimed at spreading awareness about minor steps that could prevent road accidents. The booklet would have information like driving vehicle on road is a big responsibility, use dipper at night, don’t use mobile phones while
driving, don’t drive after taking liquor,measures to be taken by parents and students even if the latter travel by public transport or on cycles. It would have tips to be adopted during bus journey and while cycling and crossing traffic junctions, along with factors leading to accidents and benefits of using helmets, he said.
