JAMMU- On the fourth day of the 72nd All India Police Hockey Championship, hosts J&K Police beat SSB 3-1 on Friday at KK Hakku Stadium here.
The championship, being organized by J&K Police, began on January 29 and will run till February 8.
J&K Police and SSB played match number 13 of tournament. For J&K, Satwant Singh Jersey No. 13
scored the 1st goal, while the team’s 2nd and 3rd goal was scored by Karanjit Singh Jersey No. 05.
Karanjit Singh was declared player of the match for his brilliant performance.
Bhanu Pratap Singh, Member J&K Sports Council, was the chief guest on the occasion.
Seven more matches were played on Friday. CISF defeated Chandigarh Police 6-0. Uttar Pradesh Police defeated Odisha Police 7-4. ITBP trounced Rajasthan Police 4-1. Punjab Police blew away Himachal Pradesh Police 10-0.
Two matches of women’s category were also played on Friday, with CRPF defeating Haryana Police 7-0 and Odisha Police beating Gujarat Police 6-0.
