SRINAGAR- Downtown Heroes FC striker Moomin Bhat scored a hattrick as the team defeated J&K Bank Academy (Jammu) 4-0 in the quarterfinal of the 17th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament being played at Mini Stadium Parade Ground in Jammu.
Moomin opened the scoring in the 25th minute, before doubling the lead in the 41st minute through a penalty. The young forward completed the tournament’s first hattrick in the 50th minute. Shariq Hussain made it 4-0 in the 69th minute.
The Gold Cup is organised by All J&K Sports & Cultural Welfare Association, under the aegis of J&K Football Association and in collaboration with J&K Sports Council.
In Saturday’s game, J&K Police take on Young Rovers FC at 3:00 PM.
