Srinagar- In a bid to spearhead transformative changes in private education in Kashmir Schools, and address the educational void resulting from extended winter breaks, a conference titled “Managing School Finances and Bridging Learning Gaps” convened here on Tuesday.
With a resolute focus on fostering pro-student reforms within private schools, the conference served as a strategic platform for educators, administrators, and policymakers to collaboratively explore innovative solutions.
The gathering was marked by impassioned discussions on optimizing school finances to enhance educational quality and resilience. The participants, who had come from different parts of the Kashmir Valley, engaged in conversations aimed at ‘bridging the learning gaps’ exacerbated by prolonged winter vacations.
The conference was organized by the Private Schools Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK).
Pertinently, the PSAJK has partnered with Edu-fintech LEO1 and Edubull to bring out the necessary reforms in the education sector.
Speakers attending the conference said the reforms will bring much needed relief to students, their parents, teachers and school management. Besides getting world class education, under the new system the students can even claim a fee refund.
Dr Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, an expert on Educational Policy Planning who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, said that under the new educational system we have a long winter vacation that often remains unproductive and we aim to fill that vacuum or educational gap.
“We have so many parents who are extremely disciplined when it comes to financial matters like submitting fees. Come what may, they are always regular. These parents often go unrewarded and it is here the new system will incentivize them and in many cases refund their fee too,” Dr Fayaz said.
Rohit Gajbhiye, MD and Founder of LEO1, expressed his enthusiasm regarding this strategic implementation.
“At LEO1, we are committed to alleviating financial constraints for educational institutions and ensuring unhindered access to learning opportunities for students.” Rohit said.
“The integration of our Embedded Stack in schools of J & K will be a significant step towards modernizing education institutes and optimizing existing resources.” he added.
It is pertinent to mention, the LEO1 Embedded Stack offers a comprehensive financial and software solution that equips educational institutions with modern technologies, aimed at reducing administrative costs while amplifying their operational efficiency.
President PSAJK G N Var said the LEO1 in partnership with PSAJK aims to create a solution to offer scholarships to students and other benefits presenting an innovative benefit structure to the institutions in J&K.
“The partnership with Edubull will empower students, teachers, and schools in Jammu and Kashmir through Edubull’s unique assessment and learning tools. Edubull has tailored its resources to cater to the specific needs of this region.” War said.
Dr Girish Sharma founder Edubull said that Edubull’s unique assessment and learning tools are not only student-centric but also teacher-friendly.
“The platform provides educators with a suite of resources and diagnostic assessments to enhance their teaching methods, track student progress, and personalize learning plans. This empowers teachers to create a more engaging and effective learning environment in their classrooms.” Dr Girish Sharma said.
“Edubull recognizes the challenges faced by schools in terms of infrastructure, curriculum-based learning and assessment resources, and teacher up-skilling. The platform addresses these issues by offering a comprehensive system that seamlessly integrates into existing school structures.” Girish added.
