SRINAGAR- Continuing with their good run of form, J&K senior men’s cricket team defeated Mizoram by 182 runs on Friday in a Vijay Hazare Trophy match played in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Vivrant Sharma 144 (91) and Qamran Iqbal 116 (134) led J&K batting, as their hundreds propelled the team to a commanding 332-6 in allotted 50 overs. Vivrant’s blistering knock included eight 6s and 14 4s.
In reply, the Mizoram squad was bundled out for a measly 150 in 40.4 overs. Rasikh Salam again shined with the ball, taking three wickets. Spinner Abid Mushtaq also took three wickets, while Lone Nasir took two to seal the game in J&K’s favour. For Mizoram, Agni Chopra 50 (72) was the top scorer.
J&K will next take on Uttarakhand on Sunday, December 3.
