SRINAGAR- Three Round 18 matches of the 2023 Srinagar Premier League were played on Tuesday at Bakshi Stadium.
In the first game ARCO FC took on J&K Bank Academy. Favourites to win the game, ARCO took the lead in the 8th minute through Sujith. Many would have thought the goal was one of many to come, however, the academy boys hung tight to give ARCO a difficult matchup. After the half time ended 1-0, the second half turned nervy for ARCO as the team defended its slender lead. ARCO held on till the full time whistle to get a well-earned victory. Imraan was awarded man of the match.
The second game saw Kashmri Avengers FC lock horns with Syed Tajuddin FC. Abid gave Syed Tajuddin the lead in 28th minute. The game turned out to be a carbon copy of the first match, as Syed Tajjudin held on to their 1-0 lead till the dying moments of the game, when Shayik scored in minutes added on to make it 2-0. Abid was awarded man of the match.
Real Kashmir FC (Reserves) played J&K United FC in the final game of the day. Shoaib gave J&K United the lead in 16th minute, before Mehran doubled it in the 48th as J&K United won 2-0. Shoaib was awarded man of the match.
Two Srinagar Premier League games are on schedule today, Wednesday, October 25, at Bakshi Stadium. Jhelum FC are set to take on LoneStar Kashmir FC at 10:00 AM, while J&K Police will play Kashmir Panthers FC at 12:00 PM.
