SRINAGAR– Two Round 17 matches of the 2023 Srinagar Premier League were played on Wednesday at Synthetic Turf TRC here.
In Game 1 of the day, J&K Police XI locked horns with Real Kashmir FC (Reserves). The match was played on equal footing, with the scores remaining 0-0 till the 76th minute, when J&K Police’s Rishabh scored the winning goal. Rishabh was awarded man of the match for his goal in the 1-0 win.
The second matchup of the day saw Sport Council Football Academy take on Syed Tajjudin FC Natipora. The game proved too much for the academy boys as STFC ran through the them to record a convincing 4-1 win. Owais (22’, 73’), Owais Bashir (23’) and Haris (50’) were all on the scoresheet for STFC. For SCFA, Salim scored the lone goal in the 51st minute. Owais was awarded man of the match for his two goals.
Two games are on schedule for today, Thursday, October 12. FC1 play Kashmir Panthers FC at 2:00 PM, while Novelty FC take on Jhelum FC at 5:00 PM. Both games will be played at Synthetic Turf TRC.
