SRINAGAR- Kashmir Hockey Academy J&K have organised the Guru Hargobind Hockey Tournament 2023 at Polo Ground here. Twenty hockey teams participated in the tourney.
Jagjit Club Uplina beat Badal Club 6-3 in a tough contest on Thursday.
Former national player and captain of the J&K hockey team, Raja Ghulam Nabi Wani presided over the tournament as the chief guest.
Addressing the players, he said that that it is a great pleasure that this tournament has been
organised in the name of the 6th Guru of Sikhs Sri Hargobind Sahib Ji, who is the founder of Miri
Piri conceptual principles of the Sikhs.
Congratulating the winners, Wani appreciated the children and said they are all performing very well at the school level and the same way, they are supposed to continue at inter-college level. He said that in future and they will all get to see the competition at the Polo Ground at the international level too.
