Srinagar- A woman was attacked and injured on Saturday by a bear in Khag area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
The woman identified as Khatija, wife of Abdul Gani Naik was attacked by a black bear near her house in her native Kokerbagh village of Khag on Saturday, reports said. The woman sustained serious injuries in the surprise beast attack.
She was removed to SK institute of medical sciences (SKIMS) Soura for advanced treatment. Her condition, according to a local news agency Kashmir Scroll, is said to be critical.
Meanwhile, the villagers have requested the Wildlife department to take steps to capture the wild animal who has strayed into their habitation for the safety of people and their property.
