Srinagar A-Division League: 2 Matches Played

SRINAGAR- In the ongoing Annual League Football Tournament, two matches of the DFA Srinagar A-Division were played on Thursday at Synthetic Turf TRC, here.

In the first match of the day Baghi Hamdan FC took on Valley FC. The Baghi Hamdan FC boys dominated in the beginning and made good moves. However, Valley FC regained their rhythm and started counter attacking. In the 30th minute, Valley FC made a spectacular move and scored a nice goal. The goal was scored by Aijaz Ali. In the second half, Baghi Hamdan FC looked threatening and in the 48th minute, Imtiyaz Ahmad equalised for his team. The match was evenly balanced and both the teams played exceptionally well. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.

The second match was played between Al-Rasheed FC and Makhdoomi FC. Al-Rasheed FC crushed Makhdoomi FC by 7 goals to nil. In the first half Al- Rasheed FC scored back to back three goals in 9th minute, 14th minute & 21st minute through Ibrahim, Shabir and Abid Fayaz, respectively. In the 2nd half Muzamil of Al-Rasheed FC scored the fourth goal in 46th minute. Abid Fayaz increased the lead by scoring his second and team’s fifth goal in 47th minute. Shahid scored two goals back back in 49th and 50th minute of the game. Thus, the game ended with 7:0 in favour of Al-Rasheed FC.

The tournament is organised by DFA Srinagar (JKFA) in collaboration with JKSC.
