No Need To Panic Says MS LD

Srinagar- The Lalla Ded (LD) hospital administration on Thursday refutes the news carried by a news agency regarding the reports of 24 pregnant women being tested positive for coronavirus.

Talking to Kashmir Observer, Dr Muzaffar Hussain Sherwani as Medical Superintendent, LD said every patient has to undergo RAT before entering the hospital for the treatment and only 7 women were tested positive for the COVID-19 against what was reported 24.

“These women just came for the general check-up and were not admitted. They have been sent back to home,” Dr. Sherwani told Kashmir Observer.

He said out of which six were sent to home-isolation in view of being asymptomatic and only one has been shifted and is under observation in designated isolation facility of this hospital.

He further said that all the seven patients who have tested positive were referrals from various districts of the Valley.

He further said that the attendants who were accompany the patients were tested Covid negative

It may be noted, the news of over 24 pregnant women being tested positive for coronavirus created panic across Kashmir.
