She said “We are artists at heart and are working with artisans especially women who have been associated with weaving and embroidery. We are empowering Kashmiri artisans who form the backbone of our art and culture”,
Their first collection “Zoon” is inspired by the popular Kashmiri poetess Habba Khatoon. The collection offers hand-woven Pashmina and Woolen Pheran with signature heritage embroidery.
The collection also offers silk velvet and organza ensembles, with a fusion of different embroideries, tilla, dabka and sitara, says Mehreen who is studying textile designing from University of Arts, London.
