Srinagar: Lt Governor Manoj Sinha in an emotional speech at SKICC Monday said he was there to help develop Jammu and Kashmir and root out corruption.
“Every penny of J&K shall be used in the development of J&K and that even a single penny meant for people is like ‘Gau Mas’ (Cow Meat) for Manoj Sinha”, he said in presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah who was all praise for LG for his dedication and fortitude.
Sinha added that transparency was his agenda & it shall be taken care of by all means.
Earlier in his speech LG announced that the farmers who suffered crop losses particularly of apples due to untimely rains and snow will be provided relief within two days.
Meanwhile, well placed sources told Kashmir Observer that immediate assessment of losses have been undertaken by the respective district administrations along with Agriculture Dept and relief is being provided from SDRF as per norms.
