Srinagar: A police constable allegedly committed suicide on Tuesday by hanging himself at his home in Shalimar area of this capital city.
Bilal Ahmad Dobhi was found hanging inside his room in Pazwalpora locality of Shalimar on Tuesday morning, an official said. Dobhi, who was a constable in the Armed Police wing, was removed by his family to the SKIMS Soura in an unconscious state. However, the doctors there declared him dead.
When contacted a police official said that it apparently seems a suicide case.
“A case has been registered in this regard for further investigations into the incident”, the official said.
